Your devices
Every device signed in with your account appears on the Beam page. This page explains the tiles and what you can do once you are inside a network.
My devices
- This device is the one you are holding, with its address in the network it is in right now.
- A green dot means a device is online. A device without the dot shows when it was last online.
- Unattended access marks a device that runs without anybody logged in, such as a server or a Raspberry Pi.
- Device is in the same network means you are already there: no need to beam.
- Connect opens the choices described in Beam out.
External devices
Here you find the devices other people shared with you through a Beam-in code. To add one, ask the person for a code or its QR code and use Beam out → Connect with a code.
Once you are in
With your SituIP you are part of that network. That means you can use it with the apps you already know:
- Open a web page of a device, such as the router, the NAS or a camera, in your browser, using the address it has in that network.
- Open shared folders and files with Finder, Explorer or any file app.
- See and control the screen of a computer with the built-in screen viewer (VNC / RDP).
- Open a terminal on a computer, and describe in plain words what you want: the intelligent terminal suggests the commands. Anything that needs administrator rights or could delete data is marked before it runs.
Not sure what the address of a device is? It is the same one it has at home or in the office. Your SituIP simply makes your device part of that network.
