Getting started

What does Awacino mean?

avvicino (Italian) · bring closer

Awa (our Chief Dog Officer) + cino

Awacino: we bring computer networks and devices close.

awacinoBeam into your networks
What is Awacino?

Awacino puts your phone or laptop inside the network you need, your home, your office or a customer site, with a real address there: your SituIP. Your own tools then work as if you were plugged in on site. Connections run directly between your devices, end-to-end encrypted, with no ports to open.

How do I get started?

Three steps. 1. Download the app on the phone, tablet or laptop you want to beam from. 2. Install Awacino on one device in the network you want to reach: a PC, a Mac, a phone, a Raspberry Pi or a server. 3. Tap Beam out. You get your SituIP and you are in.

What do I need in the network I want to reach?

One device with Awacino on it. That can be a PC or a Mac with the app, a phone, or a server, NAS or Raspberry Pi with the Unattended Client, which runs with nobody logged in. That one device lends you the whole network.

Do I need admin rights or IT knowledge?

No. There is nothing to configure on your router, no VPN server to run and no route for an admin to approve. The device that lends its network needs no admin rights.

Can several people use one account?

Yes. Any number of people may sign in to one account. Awacino counts devices and Beam-in codes, never people.

Beam out, Beam in & SituIP

What is the difference between Beam out and Beam in?

Beam out connects you into a network, your home or your office. Beam in invites someone or something into your network, a friend, your IT partner or a cloud server, with a code you can switch off at any time. Read more about Beam out and Beam in.

What is a SituIP?

The address Awacino gives you inside the network you beam into, for example 192.168.2.47 in your home network. It is a real address there, often leased by that network's own router, so the devices there talk to you as if you were plugged in. Everything in the network keeps its usual address: the printer at 192.168.2.20 is still at 192.168.2.20.

Where does the SituIP come from?

Three sources, tried in order. DHCP: Awacino asks the network's own router for a lease, so the router knows the address and gives it to nobody else. LAN: if the router does not answer, a free address from the network's own range. Subnet: if your own network uses the same range, or there is no network to lend, a private 100.64.x.x address. All about SituIP

Can one device hold more than one SituIP?

Yes. A device can hold more than one SituIP.

Can I use my own remote-desktop tools?

Yes. Your RDP, VNC or SSH client connects to the address of the machine, just like in the office. So do file shares, databases and web interfaces. On Windows, the remote-desktop client mstsc is already installed.

Can I go online through my home network when I am abroad?

Yes. Beam out to your home and go online through it: your bank sees you at home, not abroad. Internet through the network you beamed into is part of every plan, with no extra charge and no traffic meter.

The computer I want to reach is asleep. What now?

Beam out anyway. Using its address wakes it: wake on demand is built in, so your machines do not have to stay on all day.

How do Beam-in codes work?

In the app, create a code for the network you want to open and choose what it may reach: the whole network or one device. Send it by mail, chat or phone. The first device that redeems it owns it, so a forwarded code does not get in. Pause or revoke it at any time; a revoked code stops working immediately. Beam in

What is Agentic Beam?

Agentic Beam connects the Claude CLI sessions on your computers. Sessions run on your Mac or Linux machines; your other devices connect to them, and the Claude on one machine can hand work to the Claude on the others, over a direct, encrypted connection. It is off until you switch it on, and part of the commercial licence. Agentic Beam

Security & privacy

Does my data go through Awacino's servers?

No. Our servers only help both sides find each other. The connection itself runs directly between your device and the network, end-to-end encrypted. Connections are never relayed through Awacino servers.

How is the connection encrypted?

With WireGuard, end to end between your two devices. The keys never leave them. Security

Do I need to open ports or run a VPN server?

No. There is nothing to configure on your router, and the device you reach needs no admin rights. The device in your network dials out, so there is no forwarded port and nothing for a scanner on the internet to find.

Who can get into my network?

Only the devices on your account and the people or devices you beam in with a code. Each code belongs to one device, and you can pause or revoke it at any time.

Is there an audit log?

Yes, on the Standard and Premium plans: Standard records sessions for 90 days, Premium records commands and sessions for 180 days. Compare features

Pricing & licence

What does it cost?

Private use is free for 2 slots, then €5 once per extra slot. Teams / commercial: Basic €14.99, Standard €49.99 and Premium €99.99 per month for 5, 15 and 50 slots. Pricing

What is a slot?

Every device with Awacino and every active Beam-in code takes one slot. People are never counted. An Unattended Client takes a slot while it is registered; revoking a Beam-in code frees its slot.

Is there a time or traffic limit?

No. There is no time meter and no traffic cap, in every plan, including the free one.

When do I need a commercial licence?

Private usage means your home, your family and your own devices, with no commercial purpose. As soon as you use Awacino for a business or an organisation, choose a plan for teams / commercial. Agentic Beam and Automation are part of the commercial licence.

How do extra slots work?

Private: each extra slot is €5 once, bought in the app. It is not a subscription and never expires. Teams: each slot beyond your plan is €5 per month, available on monthly plans.

What do the yearly plans cost?

Basic €152.99, Standard €509.99 and Premium €999.99 per year. Yearly saves 15 % or more compared with paying monthly.

Is there a free trial?

Paid plans have no trial. Start with the free account and its 2 slots, then choose a plan when you need more.

How do I pay?

For a commercial plan, pay with Stripe on the website (Get commercial licence) or through the Apple App Store in the Awacino app. Private extra slots are bought in the app.

We need more than 50 slots.

For fleets, machine builders and service providers with more than 50 slots, talk to us.

Devices & platforms

Which devices can I use?

Beam out from iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux. In the network, Awacino runs on a PC, a Mac, a phone, a Raspberry Pi or a server with the Unattended Client. Download

Does Awacino run on a Raspberry Pi, a NAS or a server?

Yes, with the Unattended Client: Linux servers on x86 and ARM, in the office or in the cloud, Raspberry Pi and other SoC boards, NAS boxes and Docker hosts. It runs headless, needs no admin rights and dials out. Setup unattended access

How many connections can one network take?

Up to 255 connections into one network per DHCP range. Need more? Add another subnet.

Troubleshooting

Does every connection work?

Awacino connects directly, also when both sides use mobile networks. Private use is free for two slots, so you can try it in your own setup first.

My NAS or printer does not show up in the network list.

Automatic discovery by broadcast or multicast, such as Bonjour or SMB/NetBIOS network browsing, does not cross into the network you beamed into. Connect by address instead, for example smb://192.168.2.5 or http://192.168.2.20.

My own network uses the same addresses as the one I beam into.

Awacino notices and gives you a private 100.64.x.x SituIP instead, so the two networks do not get in each other's way.

A Beam-in code does not work.

A code belongs to the first device that redeems it; on any other device it does not get in. Check in the app that the code is not paused or revoked, and create a new one if needed.

A device does not appear in My devices.

Make sure Awacino or the Unattended Client is running on it and signed in to the same account, and that it has internet access. Still missing? Write to us with the device and its system.
